  • How to care for Miniature Rose

Miniature rose needs well-drained soil and at least six hours of sunlight per day. Miniature roses like humid/evenly moist but not wet soil. Miniature roses prefer cool, not hot soils. If you place them in a window, use a cachepot to insulate the roots and keep them from overheating. Make sure the plant is in a place where there is good air circulation. Miniature roses are hardier than many tea roses and can be grown in zones 5 to 9. In colder zones, they may need winter protection (mulch with straw and wrap with burlap/breathable wrap). As miniature roses can be also grown in large pots, you may just want to protect them from winter by moving the pot into an insulated, but cool and light garage, unheated basement, or shed where they will remain dormant.
  • Miniature Rose care tips

Cut the Miniature Rose flowers off after they have bloomed. If the Miniature Rose growth is long and weak, trim Miniature Rose back to a height of 3 inches from the soil height. If you move the Miniature Rose to a larger pot, make sure the plant remains at the same height above the soil, don’t put the roots deeper in the pot than they were in their original pot.
